This is a handmade, one-of-a-kind mezuzah made in Warsaw Poland between 1899-1904. This mezuzah is not hallmarked by the maker who may have been a Jew as Jews were not allowed to be silversmiths at the time. The mezuzah has a Kokoshin mark of the assayer Alexander Romanov who worked in Warsaw between 1899 – 1904. The mezuzah is 6.5 x 1.5 inches and weighs almost four ounces.  The mezuzah has a shin made of gold and is adorned with acorns and leaves on the top and bottom.
